Web Team Corporation Recognizes Leaders In The Autism Community For Their Support In Developing Award-Winning Technology For Autism Management

Somerset, NJ, February 28, 2014 – At a recognition dinner held at the Pind Restaurant in Kingston, NJ, WebTeam Corporation CEO Nish Parikh publicly thanked educators, medical professionals, state leaders and members of the autism community for their collaborative contributions leading to the development and success of WebTeam’s award-winning technology for autism management.
“We are deeply indebted to all of you for sharing your clinical expertise, research, and knowledge with WebTeam as we collaborate on the development of new technology tools for parents and educators in the autism community,” commented Mr. Parikh, whose company was recently awarded the Verizon Powerful Answers Award at the 2014 International CES for its innovative solutions for managing autism utilizing mobile and wireless technology. “We have demonstrated the power of togetherness. Collectively, we are making a difference by helping those with autism lead more productive, independent lives.”

Among the leaders recognized by WebTeam were:
- Mr. Dale Caldwell – CEO of the Village Charter School in Trenton and president of the Middlesex Regional Educational Services Commission (MRESC) – the largest shared service provider in the area of special education and autism, who, in 2006, introduced Mr. Parikh to the learning challenges faced by special needs students.
- Verizon Foundation – which provided a grant to fund the first pilot program utilizing WebTeam’s patent pending technology at Eden Autism Services in Princeton.
- Eden Autism Services – a nationally recognized provider of science-based services to children and adults with autism through early intervention, 3 to 21 education, employment, adult residential, and consultative programs employing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
- Dr. Thomas McCool – past president of Eden Autism Services and a devout autism advocate.
- ECLC of New Jersey – which offers lifelong services to more than 300 children at schools in Chatham and Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ, starting with education for children with special needs, ages 5-21, through jobs and day/evening programs for adults, including those with autism, Down Syndrome and Severe Learning and/or Language Disabilities.
- Michael Lewis, Ph.D. — University Distinguished Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry; Director for the Study of Child Development Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, who collaborated with WebTeam in developing a groundbreaking screening tool which can help parents detect early indications of autism in children as young as 8 months.
- Easter Seals of NY – which, since 2012, has piloted WebTeam’s S.H.A.N.E.S.H. Colors Program in its classrooms.
- Prof. Dr. Vidya Bhushan Gupta, MD — a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at New York Medical College, New York; a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP); and member of the Society for Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.
- Ms. Dayci Chivukula — Educator – Languages Teacher in Thomas R. Grover Middle School and an Advisor for Special Need Education and Intervention.
- Dr. Sunanda Gaur, MD — Professor of Pediatrics, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School; Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the New Jersey Statewide Family Centered HIV Care Network; and Co-director of the South Asian Total Health Initiative (SATHI).
- Atam Dhawan, Ph.D. — Distinguished Professor and Executive Director, Undergraduate Research and Innovation, New Jersey Institute of Technology (who heads an Interdisciplinary Design Studio (IDS) where students are developing patent pending interactive toys to help autistic children).
- Kate Gladstone — a handwriting expert and autism activist who serves on the Autism Society of America Program Committee and who has developed a program to teach individuals with autism how to read cursive writing. WebTeam collaborated with her to develop its Read Cursive app.
“With 1 in 49 children in NJ living with an autism spectrum disorder, we need a collaborative approach to tackle this challenge,” commented Mr. Parikh. “WebTeam would like to honor all of those individuals and organizations that have selflessly given their time, talent and multiple resources to join us in finding innovative solutions for improving lives.”
